This is probably our most frequently received question -- but one of the hardest to answer! The reason for this is that is greatly depends on variable weekend traffic. That said, we are working hard behind the scenes to minimize wait times by keeping the balance of native speakers at all times.
Generally speaking for English learners, earlier in the day is a good time to match quickly.
The biggest suggestion we can give you to avoid high wait times:
Don't wait until the last minute to complete your sessions. At the end of our available hours, the user density spikes very heavily, and the wait times are usually higher. Complete your sessions early and avoid the last-minute rush!
Sometimes we offer alerts or promotions (including surge pricing and contests) when the ratio is particularly imbalanced to encourage users to use the site when they have the ability to match immediately. If you're interested in these offers, you'll definitely want to signup for our text updates.
If you have been waiting for what seems like an unusual amount of time, then be sure to chat in with us so we can check to make sure it's not a compatibility issue.
