Some iPhones, iPads and Macs support Center Stage, a feature that automatically pans and zooms the camera to keep you centered. However, as an ASL learner, you need to show your elbows and full signing space, so a fixed view is necessary.
Here’s how to turn it off:
When using iOS/iPadOS:
Before you begin, ensure that your device meets Apple's system requirements for the Center Stage feature.
- Start your Conversifi session.
- Tap the screen to bring up meeting controls.
- In the top-right corner, tap the Grid
icon, then tap Center Stage to enable or disable video tracking.
When using a Mac:
Before you begin, ensure that your device meets Apple's system requirements for the Center Stage feature.
- For macOS Sonoma 14 or later:
- In the Apple menu bar, click the green camera icon
. - Click Center Stage to turn it on or off.
- In the Apple menu bar, click the green camera icon
- For macOS Ventura 13 or macOS Monterey 12:
- From the Apple menu bar, click the control center.
- Click Video Effects.
- Click Center Stage to turn it on or off.
